Ridhima in Mumbai in Anokhi harem pants, American Apparel belt, Chloe shoes, 500 BC bag at Bombay Electric and Ritika Sachdeva bracelets

Ridhima Sud bridges the New York – Delhi divide as a contemporary art consultant (a product of Sotheby’s Institute in New York) and indie film ingénue (latest film, Collabfeature, filmed by 25 filmmakers on 5 continents). Her style is very much relaxed boho.

She has a simple style philosophy for nights out, ‘whether its Le Bain in New York, Le Baron in Paris, or LAP in Delhi, you can never go wrong with a pair of skinnies or short-shorts, a vintage blouse, pumps and red lipstick. It is my most transferable look and never misses!’ She spends a lot of time in New York hanging out with the artsy set, who abhor brands that scream out, and so goes with Marni bags, outerwear from Vanessa Bruno, dresses and tops from the Parisian Rue de Mail, and New York neo-classic fashion houses Proenza Schouler and Jason Wu.

Ridhima goes with soft cottons and linens to deal with the Indian heat – she spends a lot of time running between meetings in Chattarpur and South Mumbai and casting calls in Juhu. For evenings she favours flowing Alberta Ferreti or Sunaina Puri dresses, and for daywear casual silk harem pants (she has a collection picked up in Beirut) with a billowy boho blouse or a DVF dress. ‘For Indian weddings, I like Anamika Khanna’s shalwar kameez and also Divvya Mallick- Oberoi. I tend to accessorize with jewelry a lot more when in India, and my favourite is Mirari, because their contemporary pieces cross over to Western wear.’
